At the 2020 annual meeting between the two universities, Prof. Song Xiaofeng, Vice Dean of the School of Automation, NUAA, and expressed that both the universities have been maintaining friendly academic cooperation and talent exchanges with each other. “The Global Strategic and Cooperative Partnership Agreement”, signed in August this year, has embarked on a new journey of cooperation between the two universities. During the discussion, Prof. FEIJOO Claudio, Vice President of the UPM, assured that the two universities would further implement detailed plans such as cooperation in running schools and scientific researches.

The two universities had in-depth discussions on the cooperation areas, themes, and project levels of the joint application of scientific research projects, the planning of joint dual-degree doctoral training projects and joint laboratory construction, and other topics.

Prof. Zhang Zhuo, Director of the International Cooperation Office at NUAA pointed out that as early as 2009, 16 Chinese and Spanish universities, including UPM, signed the “Framework Agreement of China-Spain University Union”, aiming to build a platform for cooperation and exchanges between high-level universities of the two countries; the agreement has been further strengthened by the GSP planning among NUAA and UPM.
